Anne Sinclair, the wealthy and renowned journalist married to the disgraced Dominique Strauss-Kahn, was supposed to be a commentator for the cable news coverage of the French presidential elections this coming Sunday. But the network, BFM-TV, pulled the plug on Sinclair with a statement that she couldn't show the necessary objectivity, since DSK had given an interview to Edward Jay Epstein, published in The Guardian, which essentially accused President Nicolas Sarkozy of plotting his downfall. DSK's people tried to rectify this by claiming the interview was a fake, and it was referred to as such in many subsequent headlines.
